The project area is accessible through three different road routes. One from Kathmandu - Trishuli - Nyamnyam - Project Site, the second one from Kathmandu - Chahare - Kakani - Trishuli - Nyamnyam - Project Site, and the other one from Kathmandu - Thansing - Trishuli via Dupcheshwor Road.

Trishuli Bazar is the nearest town which is located at about 35 km from the proposed headworks area. A brief description of road routes to the project area is given below

The 3rd route is the shortest route to reach the project site from Kathmandu, which is approximately 87 km away, and takes about 5 hours’ drive by vehicle to reach the area. But the 1st route is the best route to reach the project site from via. Galchhi-Trishuli Road for the transportation of construction materials and heavy equipment which also takes about 5 hours’ drive by vehicle from Kathmandu
